‘Yasumi’ means “rest” in Japanese. The Yasumi headboard and nightstand was designed by Gabriel Tan for Duxiana and made by Ariake in Hinoki wood. Hinoki is Japan‘s most revered conifer, renowned for its beautiful, clear wood grain and calming fragrance. Hinoki’s aroma is a result of its natural phytoncides, which have a range of benefits, from promoting relaxation to calming the nervous system. The intention was to combine the properties of Hinoki with the high-quality of sleep that DUX beds provide through a headboard that is meditative and elegant.

Yasumi allows customers to configure their preferred nightstands on either side of the bed with a cantilevered table of Swedish Kolmården marble, a modular drawer unit, or by simply using the platform extension as a display and storage surface.
